How do I book?

All booking is made through this site, you need to register all riders that you wish to book for.

Why can't I book for the time or lesson type that I want?

As we only have a limited number of horses and ponies and they can only do a certain amount of work, if a time is unavailable to you it is because we are already fully booked.

A rider is ungraded, what do I do?

To ensure that riders are able to access the correct groups according to ability, you will in the first instance need to book a private lesson. The instructor will then be able to grade the rider and you can discuss with them appropriate sessions going forward.

However, if you have a child who is under 10 and is a complete beginner please message us and we will grade them accordingly without a private lesson.

Which group lesson is right for me?

Once a rider has been graded all lessons that are appropriate for age and/or ability will be shown under the group lesson section in make a booking.

What are the age limits?

There are no lower or upper age limits.

What is the weight limit?

We can accommodate riders up to 15.5 stone/ 98kg

Do I need a hat?

We have hats that you can borrow if you don't have a hat, if you bring your own it must conform to the current safety standards.

Can I wear trainers?

No, you will not be allowed to ride in trainers. You must wear boots with a small heel, wellingtons are also acceptable

What should I wear?

Please dress appropriately for the weather. We strongly recommend long trousers, leggings or jogging bottoms are most comfortable if you don't have jodhpurs.

Can I watch a group lesson?

Yes you can, however for safety reasons we ask parents to observe the second half of the session only. This avoids unnecessary congestion through the yard at change over time and gives riders time to settle into the lesson. We ask that you keep noise to a minimum through the session and you may be asked by the instructor to wait outside if you are early or disrupting the lesson.
